Fiona Price has a Bachelor of Psychology and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. She worked as a community rehabilitation support worker in the community sector for 12.5 years with people with complex needs. 8.5 years of that time was with clients who mostly have schizophrenia but also some with bipolar, depression, anxiety, borderline personality disorder and substance use problems in a community mental health setting (HASI program). She also has family and friends who have a mental illness.
Fiona is an accredited Mental Health First Aid Instructor who runs her own training company. She has vast experience in training and group work. In the past Fiona has taught the Certificate IV in Mental Health as well as the Certificate IV in Alcohol and Other Drugs for an RTO. She has also been employed by the Red Cross and SANE Australia.
Fiona is passionate about working in a recovery model and using hope and the strengths based approach. She hopes that as a society we will change to acknowledge mental illness to the extent that we acknowledge physical health issues.
Fiona delivers high quality, eye opening mental health training. She is a warm and engaging trainer.
