Mental Health First Aid gives staff the skills to support only as a first responder and encourage their colleague to get professional help.

Fiona Price

Fiona is a therapist in a hospital supporting patients experiencing eating disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD and more. She has 9-year’s experience supporting adults experiencing schizophrenia. She is an engaging, warm and interactive MHFA instructor.

Fiona is a strong advocate for the strength-based approach and collaborative recovery model of mental health.

She is a casual academic with UNE for the Bachelor and Masters of Counselling. She has also taught Cert IV in Mental Health and AOD at Open Colleges. She has 8-year’s experience facilitating the Mental Health First Aid Course.

She does not just read the PowerPoint slides but brings the course alive with real life examples and interactive discussions.

Fiona has lived experience of being a mental health carer and her own personal experience as well.

She has a 4-year Bachelor of Psychology, Graduate Diploma of Counselling, Master of Analytical Psychology, Cert IV in Training. Plus CPD in ACT, DBT, eating disorders, suicide intervention, responding to psychosis and more.

Feedback from past participants is she creates a warm, safe and engaging learning environment.
