Fiona is a therapist in a hospital supporting patients experiencing eating disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD and more. She has 9-year’s experience supporting adults experiencing schizophrenia. She is an engaging, warm and interactive MHFA instructor.

Fiona is a strong advocate for the strength-based approach and collaborative recovery model of mental health.

She is a casual academic with UNE for the Bachelor’s and Master’s of Counselling. She has also taught Cert IV in Mental Health and AOD at Open Colleges. She has 10-year’s experience facilitating the Mental Health First Aid Course.

She does not just read the PowerPoint slides but brings the course alive with real-life examples and interactive discussions.

Fiona has lived experience of being a mental health carer and her own personal experience as well.

She has a 4-year Bachelor of Psychology, a Graduate Diploma of Counselling, a Master of Analytical Psychology, Cert IV in Training. Plus CPD in CBT, ACT, DBT, eating disorders, suicide intervention, responding to psychosis and more.
